Enabling Collaborative Leadership
Welcome to the Enabling Collaborative Leadership course!
Leading collaboratively pushes the boundaries of traditional leadership. In an increasingly complex and interconnected world, top-down leadership models struggle to deliver lasting impact. Enabling Collaborative Leadership is about harnessing collective intelligence, sharing
responsibility, and building trust across boundaries. This programme is designed to support leaders to inspire cooperation, manage power dynamics and co-create solutions that matter. At the same time, participants will be nurtured to grow in confidence, purpose and authenticity as leaders leading collaboratively.
The Enabling Collaborative Leadership course takes you on a journey of discovery and growth. You’ll strengthen your ability to connect with others, navigate complex dynamics, and spark meaningful change. Working on a real challenge that matters to you, you’ll leave with proven strategies, fresh perspectives, and a renewed vision of what it means to lead collaboratively.
The programme covers 5 core themes:
- Raising awareness of self, other and system
- Relational intelligence
- Co-creation mindset and collaborative decision-making
- Power literacy
- Working with your collaborative leadership challenge.
PBA’s approach is to support deep, experience-based learning in order to build both your confidence and competence in supporting partnerships and collaborations. We know that these cannot be built only by acquiring knowledge; they require our lived experiences, and us reflecting on these experiences to create deeper understanding about what occurred.
For this reason, we place a lot of emphasis on:
- trying to create a safe space for you to experiment, consider new ideas and experience some key elements of your partnership work
- jointly exploring the different experiences that we all bring with us
- introducing new frameworks and ways of thinking
- challenging existing frames of reference and inviting participants to do the same.
We see the need for partnership practitioners to be able to co-create solutions that are specific to a partnership’s needs, rather than applying pre-set answers. Therefore, as always, we will focus less on templates, checklists or ‘how to do’ guidance (as this is widely available elsewhere and in the resources provided).
